Quickstart
Connect a number and send one real message, in about ten minutes. Use your own phone as the recipient so you can watch it arrive.
What you need
A Facebook account with admin rights over the business that owns the WhatsApp number, and the number itself, able to receive an SMS or call to verify.
Steps
Connect your number
Go to Senders and choose Connect with Facebook. Meta opens its own window. Pick the business, pick or add the number, and verify it there.
The sender appears with a via Facebook badge when it is done. Full detail is in Connect a number.
Sync your templates
Open Templates and press Sync. Anything Meta has approved appears. If the list is empty, create one and wait for approval, which usually takes minutes.
Pick a template with no variables for this first send. Fewer moving parts.
Add yourself as a contact
In Contacts, add one contact using your own mobile number in full international form, such as
+919137931503.Send
In Campaigns, choose New campaign. Pick the template, pick yourself as the recipient, and fire it.
Watch it land
The campaign page counts the message through sent, delivered, and read. Your phone should buzz within seconds. Reply to it and your answer appears in Inbox.
If nothing arrives
Check the campaign page first. It shows the reason against each message rather than a general failure.
