Sending

Inbox

Every reply lands here, in the same conversation as the campaign message that prompted it. One thread per person, whatever it started as.

The 24 hour window

This is the rule that shapes everything else. When someone messages you, a 24 hour window opens and you can reply with anything: text, images, documents. Each new message from them starts the 24 hours again.

When it closes, free text is refused. To reach them again you send an approved template, and their reply opens a new window.

Replying

Open a conversation and type. The remaining window time is shown above the box, and the box is disabled with an explanation once it closes.

Attachments work the same way: images, video, audio, and documents, inside the window only. Replies and attachments are free: WhatsApp stopped charging for service messages in July 2025, and this box only opens inside the window.

Sharing the work

ToolWhat it does
AssignPuts one person's name on the conversation so two people do not answer at once.
StatusOpen or closed. Closing hides it from the default view.
UnreadCounts messages that arrived since anyone last opened the thread.

Attachments

Meta's download links expire within minutes, so anything sent to you is copied into storage as it arrives. The inbox serves its own copy and does not depend on Meta's link surviving.

What Sendrix does not show yet

These arrive and are recorded, but appear as plain text rather than as themselves.

  • Reactions.
  • Shared contact cards.
  • Locations, which show as coordinates.
  • Which earlier message a reply was quoting.

If replies are not arriving

The inbox depends entirely on webhooks. If nothing is coming in, check Logs to see whether Meta is delivering events at all, then Webhooks.
